We last visited the islands of Hawaii in November 2017. This time, it was in Oahu, the land of fiery sunrise and sunset and white crashing waves. The northwest shore of the island offers spectacular giant waves for die-hard body surfers and also one of the worldwide destinations for the annual surfing contest. Our friends invited us to stay for five days at the time-shared Hilton Hawaii Village. The weather could not have been any better with almost no humidity and pleasant breezes at this time of the year. Besides, it is also much less crowded after the high-peaked touristic summer months.
