A day trip to Normandy which is 150Km west of Paris along the Atlantic coast, visiting the solemn American Cemetery commemorating thousands of brave soldiers who died in one of the fiercest battles on D-Day, 6/6/1944, when Allies troops landed on the Normandy beaches to liberate France from the occupying German force then... We stopped for a tasting of six and ten year-old Calvados (pear) brandy at La Ferme de la Sapiniere, Omaha Beach and a sumptuous seafood late lunch by the sea.
