Montenegro is a beautiful country surrounded by young vegetated mountain ranges running right into the deep blue sea. From the distance, the mountains appear to be black due to the rich vegetation thus earning its name Montenegro (Black Mountain).We spent the day in the old town at the foothill and by the sea port. The highlight is the hike of some 1300 steps to the top of hill offering a spectacular panoramic view of the bay... This is the second best destination after the waterfalls of Plitvice, in my opinion.
