John Denver's Green Green Grass of Home finally dawned on me... The die-hard hikers took a chance defying Mother of a Nature by going on the hike at this reserve despite the threat of downpouring by early afternoon on a Sunday. It was a moderate trail, five-mile roundtrip. The lush and saturated landscape made it extremely pleasant and rewarding. We had a nice indoor picnic in comfort and coziness for a few hours afterward. As an added bonus, weather changed drastically by 5:30pm with thunderstorm and hail storm lasting some thirty minutes...
