Thanks to the 6PM flight from Las Vegas on the last day of the trip, we were able to squeeze in a quick visit to this magnificent park. It's a two-hours drive from the park to LV airport. We barely caught the flight on time. I voted this one the best as compared to Zion NP. One can drive in the park but parking can be very limited and hard to find. The park shuttle bus is very good, convenient and highly-recommended especially for the hikers who want to hike different trails by hopping on and off at each trailheads. The park has 15 trails ranging from easy (5 trails), moderate (5) to strenuous (5). We hiked the Navajo Loop Trail from the Sunset Point (8000 feet elevation, 1.3 mile-loop, 500 ft. elevation gain, and a lot of huffing and puffing due to high elevation). The architects of this so-called city of hoodoos are none other than water, ice and time. The scenery is mesmerizing and a feast to the eyes...
