That evening we visited Ljubica's home. Her son Tomica was there as well, and translated. He works in the computer field. We talked about some of the family tree questions I had, and I filled them in the best I could on news of my uncles and aunts (Ljubica's cousins).

It was wonderful to meet these people! They are warm, charming, and hospitable. Of course, I shouldn't be surprised, as they are related to me!

Seriously, it helped make me better realize my Croatian roots. Next trip, I'm going out to the town, Ribnik, where my Grandmother Hersh (Rosa Piskuric) is from, and see what I can find out about Grandpa Hersh (either in Istria or in Karlovac).
