East spillway, Blackdog Rd
We were out looking for owls when we came upon this robin and her nest. I decided to watch and see if she hatched any eggs and she sure did. After weeks of peaceful sitting the air was filled with chirping and she has not had a quiet moment since. Here she is feeding her brood.

We have a standoff, Ft Snelling St Pk
This is the doe I named Bridget. She is the mother of Bingo and Ringo. This evening we were watching the deer when 6 racoons showed up. Most of the deer, including Beggar and Moocher backed off when the raccoons got close, but Bridget objected to this guy getting her food and even kicked him as he threatened to bite her nose. He wasn't tough enough because she chased him off.
