Glacier National Park, located in northwest Montana, is known for its spectacular scenery along the 50 mile "Going-to-the-sun-road" which takes you from the humid cedar forests of the Pacific Northwest to the northern forests and alpine region of the high country down to the edge of the dry western prairies on the east side. The opening of the "Road" is an annual event that is led by a parade of vintage cars dating from the 1930's when the road was completed. We were there when the "Road" was opened on the 24th of June.
