Snippums

Day 66
Any seamstress will tell you that one of those things that is so important are your scissors. Nothing is worse than finding out that your cutting shears have been used to cut paper or plastic or something other than fabric and have been ruined. I normally only buy cheap orange handled scissors because I know eventually someone will forget and use them for something they shouldn't. I have never felt right about spending the money on expensive sheers. These gorgeous gold handled Ginger's were a Christmas gift from another seamstress friend of mine. They are so sharp and cut so beautifully. I keep them in their case, hidden away in my sewing room, and have threatened my husband with death and divorce should he defile them by cutting something other than fabric with them.
