At 14,259 feet, Longs Peak towers above all other summits in Rocky Mountain.
The flat-topped monarch is seen from almost anywhere in the park. Different
angles show the great mountain's unique profiles.
ah my back yard
where the air is cold and clean
and words of poetic verse
spring forth like silver ribbons against the deep blue sky

It certainly does look like its been there a very l o n g time Susan, massive and unphased by the cold. What another winter among how many in its existence? Wise and self assured, a benevolent ruler of this space co existing with man and sky, wind and winged creatures, ice and snow. And who made such a mountain? I find this days photos ones that I just stare at and think.......and see my life in perspective. Just what art is meant to do. Top marks ST. Again! V
