very interesting reading all this Susan.....and the place itself.......Thanks for sharing this......In wonder who the American people would carve up there now, and what they would signify as their contribution to the founding of the nation, or is the nation already set in stone. Funny I always liked Jimmy Carter, but I heard some American newsbody say the other day he was the worst president theyd ever had. I like George Bush junior too, and I hear not to many good words about him both inside and out of America. I BET if they carve anyone again..........itd be BILL CLINTON, coz he smiles well, and hed look good up on the rock. Funny eh, I never ever liked or trusted Bill Clinton, still dont. Mind U I like the way hes drawing attention to the fact that politicians are making decisions sleep deprived, and it needs to get back to how it used to be.....time with constituents, time in congress. WHICH gets me back to here.............The Meaning of Mount Rushmore. YES America is a great nation and will be even greater when it like any nation treads humbly on the earth and turns back to the God some of these rockers looked up to. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Pictures always get me thinking!
