The more I look at this the more I do see its wall characteristics. i love how deep it is and the line of the trees draws you deeper into the grass. l like how the foreground shape of the tree forks are like pillars holding open the window for you to enter then the shape is echoed in the line of trees into the meadow. That dash of orange left and right, the distant white light. such a strong sense of standing there, of being invited into the frame rather than staying outside it.
Susan, if I was giving anyone on pbase or anywhere else an award for composition, vision and colour, it would be you. I have learned so much from your images. You are such an artist and I say that objectively after years of looking at your images closely..........and enjoying those qualities so often perfectly done. Awesome work is often understated and subtle but you come back to it for reasons you cannot explain. This image highlights your mastery. It is truly beautiful and masterful. It's wow. V
