Guest, then I would have to carry two lenses to get the same focal length coverage and would continually have to be swapping them, getting dust on the sensor and requiring carrying some kind of bag for the off-camera lens. At my point in life (being retired), convenience is more important to me than the little bit of image quality improvement I'd gain from having to deal with two lenses.

you do some nice shots you really should step up to a better lens like maybe any 70-200 from Canon.
