Gordon, I like this one, not just for the flowers
and the water (all of it quite nice), but most
particularly for the compositional aspect of this
image... a kind of sweeping arch that the flower
collectively make within the total frame space,
and how, within that arch, the start and the end
of that arch are out of focus, but the part of
the arch which is nearest to use the view has
within it the flowers which are most in focus.
And that aspect of it (the back parts of the
"arch" out of focus and the front parts of the
"arch" in focus") lend itself to help better
give this image a good visual 3 dimensional
quality. And yes, overall, the design of
the whole image is relatively simple, which
is to say, it free from unwanted distracting
clutter. And so, at least to me, a most excellent
finished result. I like this image very much.
