To a large degree, eastern Ontario is featureless flat farmland. It is also home to Ottawa, the capital of Canada, which has a huge 203.5 sq km (78.6 sq mi) protected and undeveloped crescent of land called the Greenbelt that for the most part has been left in its natural state of forest, marsh, swamp, and bog. It is among the largest urban parks in the world and where most of these photos were taken.
