She left us an incredible record of every important and many precious but otherwise forgotten moment in our lives -- not only of our immediate family, but all of you.

Below is a sampling of my efforts to digitize for the Snyder-Thomas-Katz-Silverman clans using the incredible gems my mother stashed away for posterity. I plan to burn DVDs with these images and many, many more organized into different folders. I've found amazing negatives that will require me to go to a darkroom some time after Thanksgiving, so I can share more treasures with you all. I found about a dozen exposed but undeveloped rolls of film that may hold previously unseen images, and five rolls of 8mm movies -- one in black and white that is of my mother and father shooting images that look early WW2 in vintage [I am sending them out to be converted to DVDs].

Feast your eyes, children. Believe it or not, your parents were once as young as you and your children are today. Our bodies may have changed, but inside, we're pretty much the same. Mom is still the bride she was in this gallery photo on her wedding day, and I'm still her little boy.

And like Janet, Joanie and David, I now know what it means to miss your father. What Mom left for us makes me miss my daddy, and the mommy I had before senility stole much of her from us.
