Chengdu (Heart of Western China)
The capital of Sichuan province in southwestern China, Chengdu is a regional hub and a top-ranked economic powerhouse in the entire western region of China (for which China’s “Go West” program was designed). Over 3000 companies from over the world, including 78 of the Fortune 500 companies such as Motorola, IBM, Intel, United Technologies, Coca-cola and Pepsi-coal, have set up operations in the city.
