As he empties his apartment in preparation to leave for Florida I am reminded of an Irish New Years song about friends who have left us...for whatever reason.

April 4, 2006 Rest in Peace my Friend. I made your struggle mine, I suffered your failures with you and in the end I celebrated your year and a half hard-fought for sobriety. Too soon you have left us. No one told a joke like you. I will carry you in my heart. Love, Toni
