Fred was working at Steve Allen Honda (cycles) when he got drafted. Fred decided to enlist so he would have some choices and he decided to go into the medical field like his grandfather Dr. Frederick Porter Moore the 2nd. While attached to a medical unit in Germany he entered an army photography contest and won. Bit by the bug he studied with German photographers for the remainder of his service and a medical career was out the window.Upon returning to Hollywod he resumed his job at Steve Allen Honda with a few stints working on the Steve Allen Show behind the scenes. The cycle store went into chapter 11 and Fred decided to try to make a living as a photographer. Good choice Fred!
