Indiana Teahouse 3

The original Indiana Tea House was built in 1910 - a large wooden building with an iron roof and large verandahs facing the ocean. The Cottesloe Bathing Pavillion replaced the Tea House in 1930 and housed the Palais de Danse and the Seacrest and White Spots restaurants. In 1982 the pavillion was replaced by a beach kiosk and public conveniences.
In 1996 the present Indiana Tea House was built over the beach kiosk. A great place for dinner while gazing out over the Indian Ocean during sunset.

This is a great shot, taken at just the right moment. I was there earlier in the day and indeed it is an impressive locale.

Marcel,

You have the eye! You are a true artist with a lens. Now I want to come visit Australia. I thought it was all dingos, poison frogs, desert, and reefs! But, there is so much more!

I left Perth in 95. I got married in a church here in Cottesloe! It is really nice to somehow 'come back' and visit - even if it is only on a virtual tour.

I came across your photos as I surfed the net. I left Perth over thirty five years ago. All your photos stirred up wondrous memories for me. Many have a dreamlike quality; and they are truly well composed and colourful, each telling a story of its own.

Thank you very much for sharing! Your pictures are always warm for eyes and heart for me. This one remember me some feelings I have with Turner's paintings...
Best regards,
