I am just so impressed with your photographs Michael, the quality is incredible.. as a former UZI owner I have to say you are one of the best advertisements for this camera...

Yes the wildlife this year was beyond expectations for everyone I have come in contact with and thats a lot of people.I was worried about the effect of ongoing drought in the area, didn't seem to make a difference,I think I would have seen more predator action if I had been there when the elk started to calve.I shouldn't complain,I saw wolves every day AM & PM. and while I only saw a few griz, they were out there according to contacts I made in the park.

Pat,I hate getting up at 4:00 A.M. but that will greatly increase your chances of seeing a lot of wildlife

Fabulous photos! Don't know if I could hack getting up at 4AM...but, maybe. Loved the video clip of the black bear. Just out there two weeks ago...saw lots of wildlife; more than any other prior trip...took some great hikes. I'm already mentally planning my next trip but I'll now need to get a spotting scope and a larger lens for my camera. It's my favorite place in the whole world!

Mike - Loved your photos and descriptions. We have just come back from a trip to Yellowstone and the Tetons in early June and this year also we saw more wildlife than ever before (and we have gone numerous times). Wonder why? On our hikes we didn't see much, it was all going and coming from trailheads. We also saw a mountain lion coming from Cooke City into Yellowstone which was a rare treat! Next time we will try to go earlier in the year.
