Ross's Goose

This tiny goose has made quite an appearance in TN over the last several years. It is now a regular migrant, especially along the Mississippir River valley, and through the TNWR refuges such as Britton Ford. It is encountered sporadically all over the state, quite often as the lone white goose in a group of Canada's or other waterfowl. The 1st record in the state was only in 1986.
