This shot shows the dark upperwing well, with only a hint of a light area in the inner primaries (most of the time). The double dark bar formed by the secondaries and base of the greater coverts also shows well.

Note the amount of contrast in the pale window on the inner primaries of the 2nd-cycle Herring Gull behind.
