I had about 6 Florida Scrub-Jays just where I remembered them, and where the current ABA Birding Guide to Florida says as a good place to check. The birds at Archbold are banded and have been studied for years, in hopes of better understanding the drastic decline in this birds numbers.

Early morning definitely seems to be the time to try for these birds, when they tend to sit up on wires and treetops more. They are also quite noisy.
