Monk Parakeet

Kendall, FL

My 1st sightings of Monk Parakeet on this trip were across the street from the Baptist Children's Hospital in Kendall. This residential area is famous for producing Bulbuls and Spot-breasted Oriole as well as Psittacids.

I would spend a couple of friutful hours in this area the next morning.

This photo has three of south Floridas most successful colonizers; Monk Parakeet, Eurasian Starling, and Eurasian Collared-Dove.
