This is normally one of the hardest of the tepui endemics to get. We had great looks at this bird a couple of times though. The forest this bird lives in is very dark, so lighting was always an issue. I'm sure Clyde and Chris got great shots of this bird though.
The tepuis have to be experienced to be believed. We had a feeding flock on our 1st day on the Escalera, that had 50 species in it! It took several hours to work all that we could out of it, as we kept running back into it and finding new birds.
