This female Rose-throated Becard, my lifer, was photographed at the residence of Allen Williams in Pharr. This location has become quite famous. Some of the birds that have been viewed here include Black-headed Nightingale Thrush, Blue Mockingbird, Blue Bunting, Crimson-collared Grosbeak, among others.

It was getting late in the day when we stopped in, but we found the Becard pretty quickly. We had great looks, but it never sat long enough in the open for me to get much of a shot with my little Coolpix rig.
