The scourage of the Wind Birds! This Peregrine was 1st seen sitting just across the levee from the levee from the large upper pool the Wind Birds love. Shorebirds were constantly on the move, as they not only had to contend with the master here, but also with Red-tails, Red-shouldered, and Cooper's Hawks while I was there. There was a Merlin as well over the weekend, which I didn't see.
This bird also belongs to the anatum/"eastern" complex, having the extensive helmet and solidly black lores and forehead.
