This is a bird that I should have plenty of photos of, but it's another case of passing over the common birds. This photo was actually taken in Oklahoma, at Wichita Mountains NWR. You don't see Harriers sitting up off the ground too often. Even from a distance, the distinctive facial disks can be seen. The adult male is a beautiful gunmetal gray.
