Yellow Wagtail

Korea

The Pipits and Wagtails were a highlight of the trip, with a combined 11 species between them (Gray, Yellow, White, Japanese, Black-backed, and Forest Wagtail; Olive-backed, Richard's, Blyth's, Red-throated, and Pechora Pipit). Of these I got photos of all but Black-backed Wagtail and Blyth's Pipit.

Several races of Yellow Wagtail were represented, this being "simillima". The gorgeous "taivana" race was also seen, but unfortunately not photographed. Yellow Wagtail was actually one of the last of the common birds I saw, but it was one of those times when after you see one, they are everywhere!
