Meadow Bunting

Korea

When it comes to color, though they are fewer in species, the Old World Buntings wouldn't have to shy away much from our beloved wood warblers. There is great variety in plumage among the species, with some being rather plain, but some of the others really make up for this. I could never tire of seeing the stunning Meadow Bunting, with several reliable spots on Socheong to see this bird. This male was singing right below us on a ridge.
