This was the 2nd Mink I had seen on this day, although the 1st acted typically and never let me get a good look at it. This one practically swam up to me at Black Bayou, Reelfoot Lake. I spent a good 15 minutes observing it from the car, and finally got out, and this didn't even bother it. I'm afraid most days in the area this would have been its last day. I never could get a clear shot through the brush, but a decent look nonetheless at this retiring mustelid. This Mink is a little more colorful, with a warmer tone than most I've seen.
I think they look much better in person than stitched together for a coat.
