This is a pretty-heavily cropped shot of the nice female-type Merlin we saw while looking for vantage points to view the Yellow-billed Loon. As is often the case, Jeff Wilson 1st saw this bird, which gave us great looks for several minutes. It was a lifer for a couple of members of our group.
