The Pihea Trail is one of the ways into the Alaki Swamp region. I spent an entire day, and covered 8 miles before I got back to the car, in the rain for a good part of the day. This said, I wish I could have spent another day just like it. This is a typical look at the interior of the high-elevation native forests here. This is the land of the Elapio, Akeekee, Iiwi, etc.
