This is looking down from the Kalalau Trail from Haena State Park. This very demanding trail spans 11-miles of the Napali Coast, which I only had time for a couple of (but probably wouldn't have done much more of amyway, one missed-step and you are a long way from home!). These are some of the big breakers that the North shore of the Hawaiian islands is famous for. Just down from this was where all the real surfing was going on.
