Chachalaca's are amazing birds, being very vocal, quite large, but often hard to see in the dense cover. They were especially easy to see around Bensen Rio-Grande Valley State Park, where they frequent the feeding stations. This photo was taken at the visitor center at Laguna Atascosa NWR. They are very adept at clamboring around in the branches.
