The last big surprise of the trip. We had seen a few Chinese Grosbeaks, which I had seen previously as well. But, my guide was shocked to see this bird when I said Grosbeak, and it be a young male Japanese Grosbeak! I think only his 3rd sighting ever of this species. The dusky marking on the bill marks it as a young bird.
