Tundra Bean Goose

Seosan area, South Korea

South Korea is a great place for wintering Geese, with at least 7 species regular.

Bean and Greater White-fronts form the majority of the geese, as pictured here. Bean Goose has been split into two species, and we were lucky that the flock we found at Seosan contained both. This is the smaller and smaller-billed species, which we had about 70 of in the flock with 350 Greater White-fronted Geese, and 5 Taiga Bean Geese.
