Biggest surprise of the trip, for our tour leader anyway. Nial flushed this bird up ahead of us, and we were lucky enough to catch back up with it. It was staying in a stand of pines, but came out in the open for us. It was present for several weeks and seen by a number of birders. Only the 2nd Nial had seen in South Korea.
This is another highly threatened bird, with a global population estimated at less than 1000 birds.
