We never got close looks of this species, but nice looks thru the scope anyway.
This is another highly emperiled and endangered Yellow Sea endemic, with a global population estimated at 2500. They have been slowly increasing though, from a total winter count of less than 300 birds back in 1990. It is a legally recognized national monument in South Korea!
