Paul Lehman mentioned there had been Lewis's Woodpeckers on my way from the Lagunas to the San Jacinto Mtns. It is getting late for them, but I arrived and ran into Sue Smith who had also just got there. Within 5 minutes a Lewis's came into a distant pole, then flew to this closer pole giving much better looks.
