This is surely one of the top birds of the trip, and one none of us expected to see.

There is only a couple of places where you have a shot at this bird, whose range shows up as just a dot on the map. They are easier when they are calling, which they weren't.

Our guides were as excited as we were, as it's probably a 1 trip out of 10 this time of year that you get this endemic. It was only discovered to be a full species back in the 80's I believe, as the female Black-and-Gold Cotinga is so similar.
