I was also surprised to have a Dickcissel out here, as I haven't seen one in several weeks (not that I've been looking though). They get scarce this late in the season though. This bird is surrounded by barnyard grass, which Nelson's Sparrows like. The field was full of Swamp Sparrows and Indigo Buntings.
