These are my 1st Hudsonian Godwits during fall migration in TN, and I think one of only a handful of fall records from TN (none the last few years that I know of). This species is rare away from the upper Atlantic coast in fall, with most birds flying nonstop from Canada to South America. I was really surprised that these three birds were adult birds. The unsettled weather off the east coast of late may have pushed these birds west. I was shocked to see them though. They are hard enough to get in the spring.
