We had an excellent guide, fluent in English, Cassiano Zaparoli. His knowledge of the birds of the Pantanal is second to none, and I most strongly recommend him as a guide for this area. We surprised him with a few species, especially the Black-chested Buzzard-Eagle, which he has seen in the Pantanal only once.
