This strange comet was visible only in very large telescopes until it suddenly brightened by nearly a million times last week! It is now visible, in the constellation Perseus, to the naked eye. Binoculars or a telescope will reveal the disk-like appearance of its dust & gas cloud or 'coma'. The small, bright object towards the top of the comet is a star seen through its coma.
