Periodic Comet 240P NEAT and fragment 240P-B

This comet was easy to find due its location in Taurus, but only faintly visible in the ‘scope.
The fragment, which has a separate designation, 240P-B, was not visible to the eye through the ‘scope, but the camera picked it up, slightly above-right of the main comet (the line between them is a trailed star).

Astro-modded EOS 600D,12” Newtonian telescope
22 x 60-sec unguided exposures at ISO 3200 f/4; frames stacked on the comet in Deep Sky Stacker software (hence the trailed stars),
then processed to reduce noise and increase contrast. full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto
