St. Andrews is the famous home of the British Open Golf Tournament, lying about 50 miles northeast of Edinburgh on the North Sea coastline.
Pitlochry is home for the Bell whiskey distillery company and is located in the highlands approximately 60 miles north of Edinburgh.
Inverness is centrally located and the largest city in the Scottish Highlands. It lies on
the Great Glenn, which is a series of lochs in a nearly straight line which appear to cut straight through the Highlands.
