Fontana delle Tartarughe 0633

Roma

Bronze boys and dolphins were sculpted by Taddeo Landini.
The creator of the tortoises is unremembered.
The Turtle Fountain sparkles after a thorough cleaning to remove
years of mineral stains and crust left by the water passing through it.

Forgot to say I love all that stuff against the orange building with its irregular columnar edge there.

What a neat shot. I like the stone, the sculpture (graceful and so realistic) plus the water beads coming down too.

Beautiful detail. Love the hand on the turtle.
