Dante Alighieri(1265-1321)died in exile from Florence and lies here in Ravenna. Oil is sent from Florence for the lamp in his tomb.

Interesting to see his tomb and the info on the oil from Florence. I forget these writers were real. They sometimes become 'legends' themselves and more unreal.
